EE Isherwood's thrilling Neighborhood Watch epic, Book 8 takes the reader on an immediate and believable journey through a dystopian near-future battle for survival, as Frank, Carmen, Agnes and Penny try to plan forward in time, for Clownfish Cove and beyond.
Reinforcing protective barriers around the Neighborhood Watch borders is more of a priority than ever, with the arrival of mysterious drones, and a human VIP they encounter and rescue en route to the ambiguous pilot.
Who is Daisy? Is she friend or foe?

This series has started to feel like circling a drain to some extent. Frank has become near folk hero outside of the Clownfish neighborhood and seems to dominate a lot of the story. The trouble is that Frank is lucky more than spot on with his decisions, though his instincts seem to be good. The scenario with Deanna was just bit strange, like a wonky TikTok session; even Carmen and Frank found it odd. It is a continual surprise that the event only occurred 2 weeks ago. Seems like way longer, but maybe the apocalypse would be like that. I did like the bit with the VP and the mystery of the Legion/Reset Americans who seem to have has something to do with the attack (hence 4 stars and not 3). I knew Hendrickson was off since there are no Lt Col ranks in the Navy...I've never been in the military and I know this. Frank, dude! I am curious about the origins of the attack and I do hope they leave Allison somewhere outside of Clownfish.

Excellent apocalyptic/dystopian tale! Everything that the very talented and creative author writes is excellent but, this series beats them all. The characters are realistic and the action is believable while very intense! I have enjoyed these eight books immensely and am looking forward to book 9. I have high hopes that there will be a future series that explores the same characters in a year or two, or even, another series in the same timeline but with different characters. I highly recommend it! Kindle Unlimited

worst ever I really enjoyed this author’s other series, which is why I tried to stick it out with this one for so long. But this book just killed it for me. It’s more a purge movie wannabe. Had to skip through entire chapters as the writing is overly wordy filled with excessive mansplaining. But the most obnoxious thing is the chauvinist protagonist(I mean the ‘bad’ women were the ones who could fight and dress for combat, but the psycho prostitute, sexual slaver, who’s feminine, soft, and naked, well she’s really a good guy.) just sick No more I’m done.

Favorite author ever!!! As always, this book did not disappoint. Totally engaging from the first word to the last. I don't dare even open one of his books until Friday after work because I can't put it down once I start it. In particular, this is such a smart outlook on the apocalypse. Throughout history humans have always thrived most in a community of like minded people working toward a common goal. I can't wait for the next installment.

Frank Douglas and fam! Definitely loving this series! I just hate having to wait for 9 to come out. Thankfully less then two months. 😊. Hoping to get more into the national news and return of VP and friends to Clownfish. Great work. I’m an avid reader and you have my loyalty and I love the characters!

Neighborhood watch 8 Well, eventually we would have to have conflict and government
So we explore and claim more and help people and find the VP. And the marines. And navy. And the bad guys.
Sheesh. Such anarchy such danger. What next for our plucky pald?

Awsome I am loving this series. The touches of realism are amazing.
It is true that chaos will reign if the power grid was to go down for any length of time. Only the strong will prosper, the weak will suffer or die.

book 8 I took a bit longer to read this book , not because it was bad, because I am getting buisy with spring work outside.
I enjoyed it tremendously, I have to say again I would have loved a map, just to make it easier in my mind to see things.

Great addition to the series! I liked this one as I have the others in the series! It did seem to bog down a bit when the VP was involved but overall a good read!
